Eastman highlights product differentiating capability of Embrace® and Eastar® at drinktec/PETpoint 2005
At the drinktec/PETpoint 2005 exhibition in Münich, Germany, Eastman Chemical Company emphasises the product differentiating solutions offered by its Embrace® shrink film and Eastar® copolyester resins.
Building brand image demands the ideal marriage of product and packaging but it is the packaging that, in addition to protection, provides visual identification of a product and conveys the key messages of quality, difference and consumer appeal, the essentials of competitiveness in today’s crowded points-of-sale. To aid brand owners in optimising their competitive positioning, Eastman offers material solutions that promote maximum design freedom to achieve the highest level of shelf appeal by enabling virtually limitless product differentiating possibilities.
At the show the Eastman stand will display a range of applications that demonstrate the eye-catching versatility of Embrace shrink film resins that deliver 360-degree wrap-around container graphics, which bring lustre, strength, poise and impact to any brand. With ultimate shrinkage of more than 80%, Embrace shrink film flushes tightly against the most contoured surface and provides a sustained hold on the product. Importantly, it also provides for excellent clarity, printability and toughness. With Embrace marketers can increase shelf visibility, presence and appeal for any product. Furthermore, Embrace opens the way to create special promotions or link-in and capitalise on current trends.
With Eastar copolyester resins, brand owners can push the limits of package design, creating glass-like containers in simple forms or the most complex shapes including, for example, containers with integrated handles. Moreover, through extrusion blow moulding they can be economically processed even in small batches, thereby helping to alleviate pressure on production costs. These versatile plastics deliver superior design flexibility and stunning clarity to help make any brand extraordinary.
At drinktec/PETpoint 2005 Eastman will show that Embrace shrink films and Eastar copolyester resins are an ideal complement to any marketing programme, delivering practical, economic solutions that can make a valuable difference where it counts, at the consumer interface.
