CAMERON NAMED AREA MANAGER, UK AND IRELAND

BERGEN OP ZOOM, The Netherlands — July 30, 2004. John Cameron has been named area manager for the UK and Ireland, reporting to Bas Blom, regional general manager for Northern Europe. In this role, Cameron will lead the sales team for GE Advanced Materials, Plastics in serving the area's customer population and optimizing sales support to drive growth.

"John will contribute with strong leadership in driving service to new levels and growing business in the area," Blom said. "GE Advanced Materials has been strengthening the Plastics Commercial team in the UK over the past year and continues to be fully committed to the UK and Ireland as key European markets."

Cameron has held several leadership positions in sales and engineering during his career at GE, including his most recent post of global marketing director for Automotive Lighting. Other posts include commercial director for Crystalline Products, Europe; sales manager for Scotland and Ireland; and, technical marketing director.

Cameron holds a MsC degree in Polymer Technology from Napier University in Scotland, UK.
