GLS’ New Thermoplastic Elastomer Offers Phthalate-Free / Plasticizer–Free Formulations
(Shanghai, China – April 17, 2008) GLS Corporation, which was recently acquired by PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL), is a global leader in the manufacture of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). Today the company announced at Chinaplas 2008, the introduction of a new phthalate-free TPE in its specialty VERSAFLEXTM TPE product line. The new product, called VERSAFLEX CL E95 TPE, addresses recent regulations limiting phthalate-based plasticizers and a growing market demand for low-extractable TPEs. This new phthalate-free, plasticizer-free TPE offers water-clarity, sterilization capability, and low extractables. It is well-suited for a range of packaging applications, including FDA-compliant food packaging, drug storage and delivery systems, bottles, containers, cosmetic applications, and infant care products. Other applications include a variety of extruded tubing and films, blow-molded bags, and face masks. Samples of the new material are on display here in GLS booth # W2J11, Hall 2.

GLS Helps Customers Meet Current, Future Eco-Driven Regulations With New Halogen-Free, Flame-Retardant Onflextm -S Tpe-S Compounds
(Shanghai, China – April 17, 2008) Here at Chinaplas 2008, GLS Corporation – recently acquired by PolyOne Corporation, (NYSE: POL) and a global leader in the manufacture of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) – is introducing a new family of halogen-free, flame-retardant thermoplastic elastomer compounds that can help customers meet current and upcoming environmental regulations. With OnFlexTM-S HF TPE-S compounds – featuring a unique, patent-pending formulation – customers can easily upgrade from conventional, halogenated flame-retardant TPEs without retooling or sacrificing performance. At booth # W2J11 in Hall 2, GLS will be showcasing the new OnFlex-S HF compounds together with the low smoke, free of halogen (LSFOH) family of compounds for wire & cable applications. GLS’ New Family Of Tpes Based On The Dow Chemical Company’S Olefin Block Copolymers Gains Global Traction
(Shanghai, China – April 17, 2008) Following the successful launch of its new DYNALLOY OBC™ thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) line in October 2007. GLS, recently acquired by PolyOne Corporation, is now introducing the new TPE technology platform to the Chinese market here at Chinaplas 2008. This new technology – based on INFUSE™ olefin block copolymers (OBC) from The Dow Chemical Company – offers customers a broad array of standard and customized TPE alloys. DYNALLOY TPEs include both injection and blow molding grades for a wide range of markets and applications.

GUANGZHOU, CHINA – May 21, 2007 – GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), announced here at Chinaplas 2007 that its plant in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou, China, has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in less than one year. The facility, which opened in June 2006, is already running three shifts and producing more than 40 grades of standard and custom TPEs for global and local customers.

GLS CORP. EXPANDS PRODUCTION AT CHINA FACILITY WITH LAUNCH OF NEW DYNAFLEX® G7600 TPE GRADES
GUANGZHOU, CHINA – May 21, 2007 – Here at Chinaplas 2007, GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), announced yet another expansion of production at its facility in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou, China. GLS has added the DYNAFLEX® G7600 TPE series, raising the number of standard and custom DYNAFLEX grades it produces in Suzhou to more than 40. DYNAFLEX G7600 TPEs are available in a range of hardnesses and meet the demands of many different applications by delivering a soft, flexible feel and excellent grip; easy colorability and processability; and FDA compliance. The new DYNAFLEX grades are in full-scale production at the Suzhou plant, which opened less than a year ago.

GUANGZHOU, CHINA – May 21, 2007 – At Chinaplas 2007, GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), is marking the upcoming one-year anniversary of the opening of its manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, by highlighting key growth milestones and ambitious plans for the future. GLS, which opened the facility in June 2006, has already doubled the number of grades produced there to more than 40; added a new compounding line to significantly increase capacity; and achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. The company is also aggressively expanding its R&D staff and technical support services, and is planning to add more high-performance TPEs.
