HONEYWELL REFRIGERANTS EUROPE EXPANDS PRESENCE WITH NEW SPANISH APPOINTMENT

Honeywell Refrigerants Europe, a leader in HFC refrigerant technology, has announced the appointment of its first dedicated sales manager for Spain and Portugal.

The appointment of José Pedro Garcia Espinosa to this new position, which will also include sales responsibility for Africa and the Middle East, is part of Honeywell’s plan to expand its regional close-to-customer presence throughout Europe.

Mr. Espinosa has joined Honeywell from Friogas S.A., a leading Spanish refrigeration gas distributor, where he had held a number of positions in both product and plant management over the past six years. Latterly, these included the combined roles of Technical Manager for Spain and Sales Manager for the central and southern regions.

According to James Harris, Commercial Director, Honeywell Refrigerants Europe: “In his previous job José Pedro had already developed an in-depth understanding of our products. Combined with his knowledge of the regional markets he will be a strong contributor to our business’ growth throughout this area, as well as a key link in our customer support chain.”

With a career built in the chemicals and food industries, Mr. Espinosa, who holds a BSc Degree in Biological Science and a Masters Degree in Ecological Audit and Environmental Business Planning, brings solid, technical expertise and commercial experience to his new role.

As a global leader in HFC technology, Honeywell Refrigerants Europe is one of the major suppliers of fluorine-based refrigerants to the commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning industries. Already offering one of the industry’s broadest product ranges of environmentally safer refrigerants, Honeywell has in-place a continuous programme of research aimed at product innovations that further increase energy efficiency and safety, and contribute to a sustainable environment.
