Husky appoints Darren Round General Manager UK & Ireland

Husky Injection Molding Systems SA (Dudelange, Luxembourg) has appointed Darren Round General Manager UK & Ireland, effective September 1, 2004.

Darren Round joins Husky from GE Advanced Materials where most recently he was area manager UK & Ireland. During his career at GE, which began in 1986, Round held a range of positions in sales and marketing. Initially located in the Netherlands, he held various technical marketing and product management assignments before returning to the UK in 1991.

After UK-based sales and marketing roles, Round progressed to the position of European monitor accounts manager in 1996. In 1998 he led Six Sigma quality initiatives for GE’s Advanced Materials commercial organisations in the UK and Ireland, and Nordic and Benelux regions. In 2000, he was appointed area manager UK & Ireland.

A UK national, Round holds a degree in Polymer Science from Manchester Metropolitan University and a post-graduate degree in Marketing from Sheffield University.
