Milliken Chemical Opens Applications Lab in Singapore

Milliken Chemical, a division of Milliken & Company, has recently opened a state-of-the-art plastics lab and technical center in Singapore, extending its technical development services for plastic additives around the globe.

“This is a quantum leap in terms of capabilities to bring greater support and innovation to our customers,” said Aster Teo, market manager with Milliken Chemical Asia Pacific. “Continuing expansions to support our customers’ growth is an intrinsic value of Milliken’s developmental philosophy.”

As Milliken’s first applications development center in the Asia-Pacific region, the facility was built as an extension to the technical support laboratory built in Singapore in 1998. The center offers significant investment in applications equipment and expertise.

Among their many offerings, services include:

• New product development

• Joint development of new end-use applications

• On-site production trials and trouble-shooting

• Preparation of demo and sales tools

• Production trials and evaluation of new/existing resin grades

• Technical solutions on quality issues or troubleshooting
