Leaders from Shanghai Council of National People’s Congress visit Joint Collision & Paints Training Centre of PPG and Shanghai Communication School

(July 10th, 2006--Shanghai China)Recently, more than 30 Shanghai Municipal Government leaders visited Shanghai Communication School to investigate vocational education development and open practical training situation. They were Mr. Zhou Mu Yao, Wang Pei Sheng, deputy directors of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee, Mr. Shen Xiao Ming, director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Mr. Zhu Jun Yi, director of Shanghai Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau, Ms. Xia Xiu Rong, member of Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and chairman of Shanghai Municipla NPC's Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee, Mr. Liu Shi Cai, Party Secretary and chairman of director of Shanghai Transportation (Group) Co., Ltd. Shortly, a special report on this was made as well.

Leaders visited joint collision & paints training centre on the first floor of the Automotive practical training centre with school leaders Mr. Chen Long Wei, Bao Xian Ju and Lin Xiao Rong. This training centre is a joint construction between Shanghai Communication School and PPG Industries. PPG Industries is a global leader and manufacturer of professional Automotive Paints and Cryogenic Refinish. PPG Industries actively participates and responds to the National Shortage of personnel training project. It positively cooperated with Shanghai Communication School to launch this project. The layout of training centre was specially designed by PPG expert Mr. Hugh O’Neill from Australia to qualify with the most update international spray flow process. It has most update, advanced and complete equipments and products for color matching, spray and finish compared with the same kind of Schools in China.

During the visit, leaders gave full recognition to both Shanghai Communication School and PPG Industries. They praised the concept of joint education and success it made. With the guidance and supports of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai Transportation Group, both school and enterprise set promoting employment as key point of education, through close cooperations, joint education fully created strong professional brands and cultivated qualified skill-based talents to society and enterprises. Leaders think co-operations between school and enterprise is one of the important development of vocation education and encourage consistent actions.
