Pallmann brings cutting-edge recycling equipment and systems
to IFAT Entsorga environmental solutions show

Zweibrücken, Germany (28 March 2012) – Pallmann Group, one of the world's largest developers and producers of innovative size reduction technology, is increasing its manufacturing capacity and its commitment to recycling. Highly versatile machines such as the “TIGER” shredder are offered alongside complete reprocessing systems for used tyres and numerous other types of recyclable materials. Robust and durable single-shaft shredders, with rotors measuring up to 3m in length and massive throughput capacities, complete the top end of the range.

Visitors to the Pallmann Group stand at IFAT Entsorga (Hall C2, Stand 203/302) can find out about substantial recent changes to its activities in materials recycling technologies. Increased demand has led the group to steadily increase its commitment to the development and production of recycling machines and systems over the last year, with a significant increase in manufacturing capacity. Several successfully completed orders for customers in Spain and Portugal have also helped reinforce the group’s reputation. At the end of last year, Pallmann Group and GMN together founded ECOTREC, which concentrates primarily on recycling used tyres.

The all-rounder “TIGER” PSRT 1000 x 1250 robust single-shaft shredder on the stand is one of Pallmann’s principal machines for the sector. It is ideal for separating tyre rubber from steel inlays, cleaning tyre wire, shredding safety flooring, carpets, electric cables, electronic waste, rubber seals with steel inlays, and much more. This comprehensive range of uses means that the TIGER can be retrofitted to many existing systems or used as a stand-alone machine. In many cases, its exceptional shredding performance means users no longer need to invest in additional pre- and post-shredding equipment. Stand-out elements of the shredder are its highly durable shredding components, and knives that can be used in both rotation directions.

The patented construction design makes it possible to change the rotation direction at regular intervals. This keeps the knives sharp, contributing to consistent product quality and keeping maintenance requirements to a minimum.

The “3000” PSRE Rotor on display marks a further milestone in the Pallmann Group’s development path. It is the heart of the company’s largest single-shaft shredder to date, the LEOPARD. As with the smaller TIGER, the LEOPARD PSRE Rotor also stands out for its ability to operate in both rotation directions. The upper side of the machine housing includes a discharge flap, used to eliminate undesirable substances during operation. Large screens, which open wide in the downward direction, together with large doors, make it easy to access the rotor and grinding chamber. The narrowing grinding gap makes it possible to dispense with a pusher: the rotor, with its special goemetry, pulls the material into the cutting chamber. With its optimised opening angle, the large screen surface enables high material throughputs. This extremely robust machine is designed to be long-lasting and to ensure problem-free operation under the toughest conditions for many years.
