Rapid designed the 45 Series after an extensive survey among granulator users, asking them what they considered the most important aspects of such a machine. The new series, that covers three model sizes with cutter house openings of 450×600 mm, 450×900 mm and 450×1200 mm, has been designed to incorporate many features based on that survey

Rapid TRACS provides 'clean room' air quality for granulators

TRACS is a modular, compact and
closed system which is the ideal
complement to Rapid's
medium to large granulators.
Rapid Granulator AB, the world leader in plastics granulating equipment for plastics recycling, will be exhibiting its Rapid TRACS air cleaning system at K 2001. TRACS, which stands for Transport Recovery and Air Cleaning System, has proven itself highly successful at eliminating airborne particles as small as cigarette smoke in extensive commercial trials.

Rapid's 10 Series is silent and runs like clockwork

The 10 Series' circular, toughened cutting wheels slice cleanly and smoothly through even abrasive and filled materials. The low-volume grinding of hard, thick-walled and/or brittle injection-moulding sprues and rejects requires a special type of granulator. The three models in the Rapid 10 Series, on exhibit at K 2001, are perfectly equipped to meet this need. Unlike other grinders, the 10 Series design is based on rotating cutters and fixed blades which determine the uniform 4 mm regrind size, thus eliminating the need for a perforated screen.
