Rapid EnergyPRO™ saves energy and costs by using full power only when needed
Rapid Granulator AB has introduced its new EnergyPRO™ energy saving device at K, Europe’s largest plastics industry fair, held from 20 to 27 October 2004 in Duesseldorf, Germany. The EnergyPRO is Rapid’s answer to requests from the industry to save energy and costs by using a granulator’s full power only when it is really needed.
The EnergyPRO is a compact, soft starting motor controller and has been developed specifically for constant speed, variable load applications such as Rapid’s granulators. The device provides energy savings by managing the power consumption of AC induction motors, reducing inrush currents by up to 70%. It not only saves power, but also extends motor lifetime considerably.
Almost all new Granulators from Rapid can be equipped with EnergyPRO. In addition existing Rapid Granulators can be equipped with EnergyPRO as well by adding the device to the power supply. Once equipped with EnergyPRO, older machines benefit from the same energy-savings and consequent cost-savings as the latest offerings from Rapid.
The EnergyPRO is CE, CSA and UL certified.
