NEC co-hosts Nepcon alongside Interplas

Two major UK trade exhibitions will be co-located at the NEC, Birmingham in 2002.

Nepcon is the UK’s largest electronics manufacturing exhibition and Nepcon 2002 is located in Halls 1 and 2 at the NEC over the period 1-3 October. At the same time, over the slightly longer period of 30 September - 4 October, Halls 3, 3A, 4 and 5 will be hosting Interplas, the UK’s largest exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries.

Nepcon is now in its 35th year. Its exhibitors range from suppliers of capital assembly machinery, ATE and other test equipment to providers of tools, consumables, components and chemicals. The wide audience for the event encompasses directors, managers, engineers and buyers from industries such as communications/telecommunications, automotive, consumer equipment, security, medical and aerospace.

The similarities between the visitor profile of both shows means that co-locating these two major shows at one venue provides an excellent opportunity for OEM visitors to gain maximum benefit from a single visit.

Audience research at previous Nepcon and Interplas fairs by Reed Exhibition Companies, which is organising both events, has demonstrated clearly that visitors attend these exhibitions in order to do business. Both are seen as ideal for making purchasing decisions, sourcing components, searching for new products and keeping abreast of industry trends, as well as a means of exploring new technologies and alternative suppliers.

Both exhibitions have their own websites, which are updated regularly. The addresses are: www.nepcon.co.uk and www.interplas-expo.co.uk. Both will allow early pre-registration for visitors in the coming months.
