Strengthened Interplas sales team will provide better service for exhibitors

Reed Exhibition Companies, organiser of the Interplas series of plastics and rubber exhibitions, has strengthened its Interplas 2002 sales team in the run-up to this year’s fair.

Matthew Sheerin has joined the Interplas team in the UK as sales manager, with immediate effect. Matthew has considerable experience of trade and technical exhibitions in the UK, having worked for Reed on Nepcon, the electronics manufacturing show which in 2002 will be co-hosted with Interplas, and most recently on Inspex, the leading showcase for testing, measurement and quality control. Exhibitions which both have a similar visitor profile to Interplas.

Former Interplas sales manager Jim Hughes, has been appointed to the new position of key account manager for Interplas 2002. In this role Jim has responsibility for all the major customers at the exhibition, dealing in particular with the requirements of the large machinery companies and the extensive displays they are planning for the show.

Both Matthew Sheerin and Jim Hughes report directly to Justin Tadman, exhibition director for Interplas 2002.

“The experience of Matthew Sheerin in the UK exhibition marketplace will provide added impetus to the Interplas sales team and, at the same time, will enable Jim Hughes to concentrate on the detailed requirements of the show’s large space takers,” said Tadman. “It is an ideal combination that will ensure all exhibitors receive the best possible service.” Concluding Tadman added, “Interplas sales are currently ahead of target following a strong international sales drive at the recent K fair.”

Sales executive Ben Watkins will work with Matthew Sheerin continuing to support the UK and Irish based sales drive. Additionally, he will be responsible for maintaining the close links between both Interplas and Nepcon.

On the international front, Barbara Davis will maintain responsibility for Interplas’ twelve international promoters operating within the global sales network of Reed Exhibition Companies. Interplas 2002 will be the largest international plastics and rubber exhibition to be staged anywhere in the world this year and the international reach of Reed’s organisation ensures both its visibility and success.

Ongoing marketing programmes supporting both exhibitors and show promotion are being lead by marketing manager Syreeta Tranfield. Syreeta can be contacted for additional information on the show at syreeta.tranfield@reedexpo.co.uk
