Interplas a key trade show for the building and construction industry

One of the world’s leading manufacturing events, Interplas 2002, is being staged at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, from 30 September to 4 October. This important industrial show will be a focus for polymer developments in the building and construction industry.

Consumption of plastics by the industry, which is the second largest user of plastics after the packaging market, continues to show strong growth. The high strength, light weight, durability and weatherability of polymers, provide architects and civil engineers with an ever widening scope in design and structural solutions for use in building interiors and exteriors.

From state-of-the-art integrated solar energy panels to plumbing systems, from facade cladding to window frames, the versatility of plastics makes them a driving force in building innovation. Interplas 2002 will provide an ideal overview of the technological processes and materials that will expand the use of polymers into an even broader range of construction applications in the future.
