Rhodia announces a plan to improve the competitiveness of its Polyamide businesses in Europe
Paris, France – October 8, 2008 – Rhodia has today presented a plan to improve the competitiveness of its Polyamide businesses in Europe to its European Works Council. The aim of the plan is to help these businesses adapt to changes in the polyamide market, which is expanding rapidly in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia but is experiencing slower growth in Western Europe.

Rhodia to boost innovation capability in asia
Shanghai, China – April 15, 2008 --- Rhodia today celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for a new world-class Research & Development facility in Shanghai, China at a ceremony in the presence of Shanghai municipality representatives, R&D partners and journalists from key medias of China and Japan, The new facility, due to open in summer 2008, will reinforce the Shanghai laboratory’s position as one of the five major R&D centers of the Group. It will employ 150 scientists and provide Rhodia with a geographically balanced global R&D footprint, allowing the Group to drive its growth and ambitious development targets in the Asia-Pacific region.
