Rhodia Polyamide announces a price increase for its Nylon Salt intermediates including Adipic Acid, Stabamid® Polymer Range and Technyl® Compound in Americas

Lyon, France - July 27, 2006 – In response to the continuing and lasting trend of rising crude oil and energy costs, Rhodia Polyamide announces price increases effective as follows:

• Nylon Salt intermediates including Adipic Acid: price increase of $150 / Metric Ton, effective August 1st 2006,

• Stabamid® Polymer range: $150 / Metric Ton, effective August 1st, 2006,

• Technyl® Compound: $150 / Metric Ton, effective September 1st, 2006

These price adjustments are necessary and fall in line with the pricing policy led by Rhodia to compensate for the significant and recurring rise in raw materials, energy and transport costs.
