Rhodia to exhibit and unveil still more innovations at K 2010:
“Discover a world of solutions by Rhodia”

Lyon, France – June 3, 2010 – Rhodia announces its participation in the K 2010 global engineering plastics trade fair and unveils its latest innovations.

At a “pre-show” press conference in Amsterdam (Netherlands) on May 27, Rhodia announced its participation in the K show to be held from October 27 to November 3, 2010, in Düsseldorf (Germany) and introduced more new innovations.

2010, the year of K – 2010, the year of innovations and solutions:

In keeping with its ongoing innovation strategy and its commitment to sustainable development, Rhodia is unveiling an entire series of innovations designed to:

• Preserve natural resources

• Optimize processes and build the chemistry of tomorrow

• Improve daily life the world over

• Help industry imagine the products of the future

Two new innovations, which extend fields of application to a wider, more technical range of uses, were introduced at a preview presentation during the Chinaplas fair in April: Technyl® eXten, an environmentally friendly polyamide 6.10 solution, produced in part from castor oil, which offers its users high-performance, economically attractive solutions designed to help them reduce their environmental footprint; and Fuel In by Technyl®, a new family of polyamide 6 and 6.6 based products specifically developed for the production of parts that will come into contact with fuels using the extrusion blow molding process.

At a pre-show press conference held in Amsterdam on May 27 devoted to K 2010, Rhodia unveiled a new polyamide-based high-performance composite material.

A direct result of Rhodia’s ongoing innovation strategy, this material which complements Rhodia’s existing Technyl® line of injection, extrusion and blow molding products, represents a technological breakthrough in the area of thermoplastic composites. It is specifically designed for structural applications.

With this new material – a remarkable technological breakthrough –, Rhodia is set to open up new fields of application for high-performance thermoplastic composites. Its advanced technical specifications make it a viable alternative solution not only to metal and aluminum, but also to existing composites products.

The date for the next major event spotlighting Rhodia’s latest innovations has already been set. Don’t miss the K 2010 show in Düsseldorf (Germany), October 27 to November 3, 2010, to discover an exclusive presentation of all the new solutions that will be unveiled at the Rhodia stand, Hall 8 Stand H39.

Come and “Discover a World of Solutions by Rhodia”.
