The new facility is a strategic move to support SABIC’s goal of increasing global ULTEM specialty resin production by more than 50%, responding to the growing demand from high-tech and manufacturing industries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan and China.

The greenhouse roof has been used in the National Food Production Initiative (NFPI), together with other leading champions from the public and private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, designed to improve the sustainability of Saudi Arabia’s agriculture and food security in the region.

The innovative solar panels from Dutch manufacturer Solarge are 100% recyclable and significantly lighter than traditional solar panels. ENGIE was responsible of the installation and financing.

B!POD food vacuum containers with about 50% ocean-bound plastic content, made with SABIC® PP polypropylene resin.SABIC, a global leader in the chemicals industry, reports that B!POD, a business unit of SAES Getters, has selected SABIC’s OBP-based polypropylene resin as the material for their containers. In close collaboration, the partners selected SABIC® PP 576P, a high-gloss grade from the company’s TRUCIRCLE™ portfolio of circular resins. The container material has an OBP feedstock content in the range of 50%.

SABIC, Lamb Weston and OPACKGROUP team up in a value chain project to create sustainable packaging made with SABIC’s bio-renewable PE from used cooking oil for frozen potato products.SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, has joined forces with Lamb Weston, a major global brand owner and producer of frozen potato products, in a closed-loop process designed to create low-weight sustainable packaging bags made with a thin coextrusion film structure.  At least 60% of the packaging is made with polymer using bio-feedstock from used cooking oil (UCO).

Certified low carbon methanol is typically used in - for example – maritime fuel, resins for laminate flooring and acrylic sheets. SABIC introduces new LNP™ ELCRES™ FST resins that comply with the most stringent fire safety standards for railway interiors

SABIC is presenting at booth 255, Hall 5.1, the latest railway applications made with the new LNP™ ELCRES™ FST copolymer resins, meeting the highest flame, smoke and toxicity specifications for railway interior applications according to EN 45545-2 R1 and R6 and highest hazard levels HL2 and HL3.SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, will showcase its growing range of LNP™ ELCRES™ FST copolymer resins which can be used for large train interior applications at InnoTrans 2024, Booth 255 in Hall 5.1.
