Zink GmbH of Jettingen-Scheppach, Germany, which combines the strength of each partner to deliver both the quality and the quantity in One Pack Systems (OPS) that the European market demands. This will allow Songwon’s customers to have immediate access in Europe to several thousand tons of capacity based on a range of technologies.

Songwon to produce high purity Isobutylene in their new world class facility in Maeam, South Korea
Ulsan, Korea, November 5, 2007 – Songwon is to invest $20 million at its Maeam facility in South Korea to produce high purity IBL (Isobutylene). This will be the first large scale commercial production of IBL from TBA (t-butanol) in the world with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year. The operation is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2009.
