John Akins, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager of TE-division Intelligent Buildings was presented with the company’s membership certificate by TCLA Secretary General Frank van Tuijl on March 15 during the 2016 Light + Building Expo in Frankfurt, Germany. The presentation was made on the TCLA booth (Hall 4.1, booth E54). With 38 members, including leading lighting companies worldwide, TCLA’s mission is to promote the global adoption and growth of wireless lighting solutions by supporting open standards.

TE Connectivity Hosts Open House for Students on Global Day of the Engineer
‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH, The Netherlands – March 2, 2016 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, entertained over 300 students from several local schools on February 24, the Global Day of the Engineer. The half-day open house was aimed at inspiring a greater awareness of engineering among young people. The young students got an insight into the world of engineering with a tour through TE’s various laboratories in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, they gained hands-on experience with some interesting technology gadgets, and they learnt what it means to work for a global technology company.

TE Connectivity participates in sustainable mobility project with Storm Team
DARMSTADT, Germany – January 29, 2016 – TE Connectivity (TE) and the Technical University of Eindhoven have a collaboration in developing talent and supporting innovative projects. One of these projects is Team Storm. Team Storm has developed an electric motorcycle to show the world the potential of sustainable mobility, which will be demonstrated in a trip around the world in only 80 days. TE supported Team Storm with connector technologies and relays.
