TE Connectivity enhances strategic engagement with TTI Inc. at SPS IPC Drives
-- Tie-up with leading distributor for high-end service in connection solutions across Europe --
SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland – November 25, 2014 – TE Connectivity Ltd. (TE) (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity, will turn a spotlight at the SPS IPC Drives 2014 exhibition (Nuremberg, November 25-27) on its strategic engagement with TTI Inc.(TTI), the world’s leading specialist distributor of connectors, passive, electromechanical and discrete components. The engagement, which was first announced in April of this year, is part of the TE Industrial business unit strategy to provide customers with an improved level of service. It will also help TE extend the reach of its products, both geographically and to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
This engagement will enable TE’s Industrial business unit to achieve greater coverage and focus in markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Customers will be able to take full advantage of TTI’s extensive component stock profile and its design-in support of TE Industrial products. They will also benefit from extensive pre-provisioned inventory with low Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) conditions on select product programs.
The two companies focused initially on TE heavy duty connectors and have now added product families such as Dynamics, M8/M12 and Industrial Networks. Customers will benefit from TE’s newly increased field-based technical expertise in this area, combined with TTI’s global industry-leading stock management solutions.
“TTI has a proven commitment to providing exceptional customer service,” says Thomas Schmidt, Senior Vice president and General Manager of TE’s Industrial business unit. “Working closely with them will provide us with extra capabilities to create and satisfy demand for our leading products. We are committed to extend our offering for industrial customers and related sub-contractors. TTI will help us better understand the needs of our customers to provide them with an exceptional user experience.”
“This is a significant engagement and exciting opportunity for both companies,” added Geoff Breed, Vice President, Marketing at TTI Inc., in Europe. “We have structured our team and strategy to complement TE’s activities in the Industrial market space, providing customers with the information, inventory and the design-in help they need to develop solutions based on TE’s leading industrial connector components and systems. With this partnership we strive to jointly-deliver an exceptional customer experience.”
