TE Connectivity Expands Micro-MaTch Cable Assembly Family with General-Purpose Value-Line Models
DARMSTADT, Germany – March 14, 2017 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, has added value-line cable assemblies to its successful Micro-MaTch family. They provide a cost-effective solution for general purpose applications that do not require resistance to the highest temperature ranges, to high levels of vibration, or to extended durability cycles. They are suitable for use in environments where temperatures do not stray outside minus 30 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius.
TE’s Micro-MaTch value-line cable assemblies are available with between 4 and 20 positions and in standard lengths of 7.5cm, 15cm and 20cm (2.95, 5.91, and 7.87 inches). Because they are provided as off-the-shelf products, delivery times are short.
The cable assemblies incorporate a keyed interface to prevent mismatching and ensure a long operating life. A wide range of receptacles in various configurations (surface-mount technology—SMT, right angle) provides enhanced versatility, while the easy-connect system saves on assembly times. The new value-line assemblies feature connectors with a PBT housing and nickel-tin plated contacts. The cable has tinned copper conductors insulated with PVC.
Micro-MaTch value-line cable assemblies are intended for use in such areas as intelligent buildings, lighting, HVAC, various industrial fields, and consumer electronics. Typical applications include security equipment, robotics, motors, control units, CCTV, TV set-top boxes, AV equipment, electronic voting machines, and pay terminals.
