NEW RHYTHMS FOR TRESPA PERSPECTIVES CONCEPT

Trespa International has launched 4 new design concepts for building façades, using Trespa Meteon panels. The new concepts are a part of Trespa Perspectives, the inspirational source of new ideas for architects, designers and specifiers, comprising different architectural elements based on the themes of Rhythm, Depth and Character. All four new concepts fall within the theme of Rhythm.

The four new concepts demonstrate how Trespa Meteon panels can be used to create a decorative skin that help to create a unique façade. By using the panels to create extra skins and sunblinds that envelope the building, its overall appearance can be changed and enhanced.

Each of the four new concepts suggests a different approach. They range from twisted panels to create sunblinds that show regular or irregular colour patterns to the use of space or multiple layered constructions for unique visual effects.

From both sides

There are two sides to everything. The Helix concept enables you to turn things around, revealing what is behind the surface. By using twisted panels as sunblinds or decorative elements, regular patterns can be created, or broken, so there is always a visual surprise around the corner.

Added space

Using panels with cut-aways or indentations, forms can be created by omitting the expected. The wave concept enables you to draw attention to the overall design and give shape to the empty space that is left behind.

Beyond the surface

The surface may be only skin-deep, it usually hides what lies beneath. Not so in the skin concept, where beauty is created through showing – or hinting at – the layers beyond. By using two or more layers of Trespa panels with a pattern, you can create a unique visual spectacle.

The perfect balance

There is no right direction. The Domino concept uses panels that point in different directions all at once. Nothing is ever as straightforward as it seems – and there are many ways to achieve the unexpected.

Frank Smolenaers, Market Manager Façade Systems of Trespa International, explains: “Trespa produces a range of panels with exceptional qualities. Trespa Meteon is a unique material that allows architects and designers to create expressive and eye-catching façades.”

In addition, Trespa Meteon panels are colourfast and impact resistant, so the design will remain the way it was intended for many years. Trespa offers sustainability and durability in combination with a responsible approach to environmental and economic aspects.

Throughout 2009, Trespa will introduce more new concepts and ideas. This demonstrates Trespa’s continued drive to inspire architects and its ability to translate extraordinary ideas into durable and fascinating highlights in the urban landscape.

Trespa International will be showcasing Trespa Perspectives at a number of major 2009 trade shows for the Building & Construction industry. These include

• BAU – Germany, 12 - 17 January 2009

• Bouwbeurs – The Netherlands, 9 - 14 February 2009

• Futurebuild – UK, 3 - 5 March 2009

• Construmat – Spain, 20 - 25 April 2009

• AIA Expo – San Francisco, USA - 30 April - 2 May 2009

• Batimat – France, 2 - 7 November 2009

Trespa understands that nothing inspires more than the reality of the applications – and it is for this reason that at each of these Trade Shows, Trespa will feature life-size examples of the latest design possibilities and trends.

The designs shown are for inspiration only. They have not been tested. Although it is possible to create similar effects, the actual designs that can be realized depend on the location of your building and circumstances. Design and required fixing systems can also influence the possible end result. Trespa Meteon is CE marked and fully complies with the EU standard. Always check if the desired design is in accordance with any national and/or local building regulations and specifications.

Trespa Meteon

Trespa Meteon panels are based on thermosetting resins, homogeneously reinforced with up to 70% wood based fibres and manufactured under high pressure and at high temperatures. The panels have an integrated decorative surface using the proprietary EBC technology. This results in a panel which is extremely weather resistant and exceptionally durable, with dimensional stability and workability similar to hardwood. The smooth, pore-free surface resists the accumulation of dirt and is easy to clean which will help to create low-maintenance exterior applications.

The Trespa Meteon range of architectural panels combine aesthetics by unlimited design possibilities together with sustainable superior technical performance.

They are available in a large range of different colours and unique finishes. They are manufactured in various panel sizes up to 4270mm x 2130mm and several thicknesses.

To inspire other architects when using Trespa Meteon for building façades, Trespa offers Perspectives (https://perspectives.trespa.com) which presents new ideas based on different elements of Rhythm, Depth and Character. These highlight Trespa’s role in modern architecture: turning visions, dreams and ideas into long lasting reality.
