MBS Nordic appointed distributor for Huntsman Surface Sciences in Nordic region

MBS Nordic, the leading Nordic-region chemical distributor, has announced its appointment as distributor for Huntsman Surface Sciences throughout Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The agreement between the two companies, which covers the full range of Huntsman surfactants, greatly strengthens MBS Nordic’s position in these markets.

MBS Nordic, a business unit of Royal Vopak, the global chemicals distribution leader, offers comprehensive regional coverage through a network of sales offices and warehouse facilities supported by more than 120 years of successful experience in the market place, and was the clear choice to represent Huntsman.

While the Huntsman products being added to the MBS Nordic portfolio include a wide range of base and performance chemicals, complementing and reinforcing its existing line-up, surfactants occupy a special place. As one of the world’s most diversified and integrated surfactants producers, these Huntsman products are widely used and have an outstanding fit in MBS Nordic’s detergent, personal care and industrial chemicals listing.

“These products are used in formulations for industrial and consumer cleaning materials as well as in personal care products and a wide range of industrial applications including agrochemicals, paints and coatings and construction materials,” explains Bengt H. Larsson, MBS Nordic Business Manager, Detergents and Personal Care.

“We have a healthy share of the distribution business for the Detergent & Personal Care Business in each of the Nordic countries, as well as sales in the Baltics. The addition of Huntsman as one of our suppliers brings a very real benefit to our customers with products that fill in the gaps and round-out our offering.”
