E&E Ltd receives Performance Overdrive Award by Air Products for their Epoxy Additives business
The UK chemicals distribution and services provider, E&E Ltd, a subsidiary of Univar Europe, has received Air Products (Chemicals) plc’s Performance Overdrive Award. E&E has been given the award in Air Products' pan - European distributor operational excellence assessment program (OPEX) for 2002 for its handling of their Epoxy Additives business. In the assessment, scores are awarded for 25 criteria covering logistics, marketing & sales, business development, company infrastructure and finance.
"This award is recognition of the hard work of our sales, marketing, operations and finance teams throughout the year during a period of reorganization. It provides a strong platform for future growth," says E&E Product Manager Mark Foster. “Air Products can concentrate on manufacturing of outstanding products, with E&E handling the logistics and developing their customers’ business through industry focussed technical sales and marketing teams.” Air Products only needs to supply regular truckloads to a single E&E warehouse location, with E&E offering their products throughout the UK as a complete package of raw materials ensuring a local supply line.
E&E Ltd has been looking after the distribution of epoxy additives manufactured by Air Products since it was selected as distributor in 1999. “It has the commercial and logistical resources, market focus, technical knowledge and complementary product offering to grow the business from a European platform”, says Neil Hunt of Air Products.
“E&E’s industry-focused sales and marketing teams offer the widest combined service and product offering to our clients says Neil Hunt. “We have recently added “Hybridur” acrylic/urethane hybrids for industrial coatings applications to the E&E portfolio.”
E&E Limited will be rebranded Univar Limited from July 1st 2003.
