Univar announce Swedish consolidation plans
Univar plans to enhance and improve the overall cost effectiveness of its Swedish operation.
Today, November 17th, Mike Cope Nordic Managing Director, announced the company’s intention to consolidate all Swedish Customer Service, Order Handling, Telesales, Purchasing and Logistics management / administration into their Malmoe office in southern Sweden.
As part of these plans, all Customer Service, Order Handling, Telesales, Purchasing and Logistics management / administration at Univar´s Marieholmsgatan office would cease during the first quarter of 2005.
Univar´s delivery service from the Marieholmsgatan warehouse will be unaffected by these changes.
Discussions are ongoing with union representatives and the approximately thirty personnel directly affected at the Univar Marieholmsgatan location.
