Inspiration from Univar - Tomorrow’s textures for today’s women – Univar launches 18 new formulations at in-cosmetics 2015

London, England - April 15, 2015 – At in-cosmetics 2015, Univar launches 18 new and exciting trend-focussed, texture-driven formulations with emphasis on Skin Care and Make-up. Working closely with key innovation partners and looking closely at examples of different profiles that women identify themselves with, Univar has tailored a range of formulations to meet each profile type.

Some of the key formulations being revealed at in-cosmetics 2015 are:

Oil-in-Gel MakeUp Remover is an innovative gel that transforms into a lightweight oil, leaving the skin clean, soft, and perfectly balanced; Ethocel™ Standard 100 Premium delivers a gel texture by its oil thickening action to eliminate feelings of dryness or stripping.

Secret Shell - W/Si+O Skin Protection Cream, an amazing biometric skin cream has at its heart.

Dow Corning® FA 4002 ID Silicone Acrylate which reduces the adhesion of pollution particles. Secret Shell sheds pollution particles to keep the skin looking healthy and clean. It forms a continuous, non-occlusive barrier that is neither tacky nor greasy — yet feels rich and moisturising.

Belicious! Sleep Mask (O/W) contains the new sensory modifier, EcoSmooth™ Delight, bringing a touch of luxury to mass-market moisturising products at a very economical cost: benefit ratio. The Aculyn™ range of acrylate based rheology modifiers act as co-emulsifiers in this particular system. Aculyn™ 88 is highly viscous and gives a bounce to the body butter, whilst the Aculyn™ 33A aids in spreadability.

iLove - Shower Gel exhibiting red heart films that instantly melt upon massaging are complemented with Mix Vision Beads with vitamin E, which are also held in suspension, adding to the dramatic visual experience. ACULYN™ Excel, a new rheology modifier based upon acrylate technology, expands the formulation toolbox to help achieve efficient suspension while delivering transparent formulations at low pH.

Exquisite Sun Care - W/O+Si is unique. The amazing silkiness of this sun care lotion is based on Dow Corning® 3901 Liquid Satin Blend, an innovative and revolutionary lightly cross-linked high MW polymer in a volatile dimethicone carrier fluid that provides a smooth, satin and slippery feel when applied.

Frizz-Taming Taffy - W/Si Conditioner demonstrates superior and long-lasting frizz control performance even in water-based formulations. Dow Corning® CB-3046 Fluid delivers extensive benefits; it brings natural look and feel to hair, it has the ability to maintain style and to re-style hair. It also exhibits multifunctional benefits such as curl retention, shine, heat protection, enhanced hair alignment and is suitable for different hair types.
