TRW chose VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer to provide high performance and design freedom for a new electrically controlled parking brake
TRW, a global technology, manufacturing and service company, has selected PEEK™ polymer as a cost-effective, innovative design solution for an electrically controlled parking brake. An actuator unit, which consists of an electric motor, and a gearing unit activate the brake. The use of VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer allowed TRW to economically develop a high-efficiency gearing concept with a transmission ratio of 150:1 within a limited space. Furthermore, the polymer provided lighter, quieter running parts than could be achieved with metal.

Baumer puts its trust in VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer in its Auto-ID systems

VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer was chosen by Radiall SA in Château Renault, France, for the new IMP series of subminiature coaxial plugs, as PEEK™ polymer has proved particularly suitable for use in contact with soldering baths.
Radiall SA of Château Renault, France, has selected PEEK™ polymer from Victrex for its new IMP series of subminiature coaxial plugs. These plugs are designed for use in surface mount technology, (SMT), between two printed circuit boards. With a height of only 3 mm, these miniscule plugs allow optimum space efficiency and, with a usable frequency band of up to 6 GHz, they can be used for a wide range of applications, including mobile phones and portable computers.

VICTREX® PEEK polymer replaces ceramic-coated aluminium in wire processing machines

Spühl AG St. Gallen, Switzerland has replaced ceramic-coated aluminium grippers with parts injection moulded in a lubricated grade of Victrex® PEEK™ polymer due to its high mechanical, thermal and tribological properties and cost-efficient, consistent ease of manufacture. People spend about one third of their lives in bed, and so there is an obvious need to pay special attention to the quality of the design, materials and manufacturing of mattresses. Spühl AG St. Gallen, Switzerland, are global leaders in wire processing equipment for mattress springs and spring interiors, and supply their advanced machines to the mattress and upholstery industry worldwide.
