Victrex exhibits at Europlast 2002 reinforcing stronger regional focus in Europe for PEEK™ polymer developments
Victrex Europa will be exhibiting at Europlast, (Hall 2, booth D41 (for the first time), Victrex Europa GmbH will be presenting the latest advances in the development of both new applications and new processing methods for PEEK™ polymer. The exhibition, which will be held from June 3rd – 7th 2002 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, Paris, will also reinforce the company’s commitment to a stronger European customer support organization.
Since the beginning of this year, Victrex Europa GmbH has taken over the direct marketing and selling of high performance PEEK™ polymers, in response to changing market trends and a strong rise in demand for the material. Jérôme Viala, recently appointed Market Manager for France, explains: “In France we are committed to realising the enormous potential of this unique material through on-the-spot technical support. In addition to providing an in-depth knowledge of the material and processing technologies, this means working in close partnership with end users and processors to help them bring innovative, cost-effective products into the market place”. The French organization has been further strengthened by the appointment of Didier Padey, who is responsible for sales and marketing in eastern France.
PEEK™ polymer provides manufacturers with a cost-effective replacement for machined metals in a wide variety of high performance applications across all key industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics, food processing, medical and general industry. In addition to its unique property profile and its extensive design flexibility, PEEK™ polymer is easily processed by all major thermoplastics processing methods including injection and compression moulding, sheet, profile and film extrusion. It is also ideally suited to finishing by spray and powder coating.
Jérôme Viala,
Born 13.02.72, Jérôme Viala joined the European Team on June, 1st 2001 and is now market manager for France. Prior to this position he worked as technical sales representative in charge of high performance resins with Lati France, a compounder specialised in engineering plastics and the former distributor of Victrex Europa GmbH.
Didier Padey,
Born 09.11.67, Didier Padey joined the European Team on January, 1st 2002 and is now responsible for sales and marketing for the eastern areas of France. Prior to this position he was managing director of Compositec, a resource center for composite materials.
Diana Weber,
Born 08.08.76, Diana Weber joined the European Team on July, 1st 2001 and is now in charge of the sales management for France and Italy. Prior to Victrex she worked for Degussa and mg Technologies and is fluent in English, French and Italian.
