ARNITEL® PB582-H TEE-E COMBINES FLEXIBILITY, STRENGTH TO HANDLE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE AUTO ENGINE AIR FLOWS
A new offering in Arnitel® thermoplastic elastomer ether ester block copolymer (TEEE) compounds from DSM Engineering Plastics, Arnitel PB582-H, combines excellent temperature resistance, strength and flexibility for automotive engine airduct needs. The new material enables designers either to specify thinner walls for material and/or space savings, or to retain the as-designed wall thickness and increase performance.

Aufgrund der weltweit steigenden Nachfrage nach Arnitel (thermoplastisch-elastomere Ether-Ester-Blockcopolymere (TPE E))hat DSM Engineering Plastics beschlossen, die Fertigung im Werk Emmen (Niederlande) wie vorgesehen zu erweitern. Mit dieser – in den vergangenen fünf Jahren zweiten –Expansion erhöht sich Produktionskapazität dort bis Mitte 2004 um weitere 25%.

Univar purchases division of Italian chemicals distributor
Rotterdam, The Netherlands, January 5, 2004 – Univar N.V. (Euronext Amsterdam: UNIVR), a world leader in chemical distribution, today announced that its Univar Europe business unit has acquired substantially all of the assets of the Basic Chemicals and Water Treatment Products division of Guido Tazzetti & C. S.P.A., a chemicals distributor based in Turin, Italy. For the calendar year 2002, Tazzetti’s Basic Chemicals and Water Treatment Products recorded net sales of € 23 million.
