Great LakesINDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced that effective for shipments after March 29, 2004, where contracts allow, the company will increase the price for all grades of antimony trioxide by $0.15/lb in the Americas and by $330/MT in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. The price for other antimony derivatives will also increase dependent upon antimony content. This price increase is in addition to the increase of $0.25/lb in the Americas and $550/MT in Europe and the Asia Pacific region that took effect January 23, 2004.

DSM Engineering Plastics has released Arnite® XL, a new grade of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) designed for automotive lamp bezel applications. Arnite® XL offers high strength and stiffness, excellent flow and the ability to consolidate material usage. More importantly, Arnite® XL offers exceptional resistance to outgassing at high temperatures, dimensional stability, and the capability to be vacuum-metallized without painting.
