NIEDERLÄNDISCHE BAHN SETZT AUF INNENVERKLEIDUNGEN AUS UMWELTVERTRÄGLICHEM KUNSTSTOFF VON DSM
Xantar® C CE 407, ein unverstärkter Blend aus Polycarbonat (PC) und Acrylbutadienstyrol (ABS) von DSM Engineering Plastics, löst in Zügen der niederländischen Eisenbahn (NS) die bisherigen Innenverkleidungen aus Polyesterplatten ab. Gewählt wurde das DSM-Material aufgrund seiner geringeren Brennbarkeit (Klasse M1) und extrem niedrigen Entwicklung toxischer Rauchgase im Brandfall (Klasse F2). Letzteres beruht insbesondere auf dem Einsatz brom- und chlorfreier Flammschutzmittel (FR).

ISP Announces a Global Price Increase Across All Business Units
International Specialty Products Inc. (ISP), has announced global price increases of up to 10% on all list and off list prices across its polymer, emollient and preservative product ranges effective January 1, 2005. These increases are a direct result of the significant increases which ISP has incurred in energy and raw material costs.
