A Borealis aumenta o preço do polipropileno para empresas brasileiras dos ramos automotivo e de aparelhos
A Borealis anunciou hoje que aumentará o preço do seu polipropileno (PP), usado em aplicações automotivas e de aparelhos no Brasil, em 150 euros por tonelada, a partir de 1º de abril de 2006.

PE100+ Association annual member meeting sets new direction
At the annual PE100+ Association member meeting on February 28, 2006 in Brussels, pipe business management of the seven member companies praised the achievements of the association in year 2005 and the image it has reached. The future direction of "Creating trust in high quality polyethylene (PE) pipes" was presented and well received by the members. "The industry appreciates the technical and promotion work of the PE100+ Association, which aims to create trust in high quality PE pipes - globally and in close co-operation with other associations" said Robin Bresser, the President of the PE100+ Association.

Borealis brings a new polypropylene Borpact™ grade to film converters and product manufacturers, which offers solutions to the packaging industry due to a unique combination of good low temperature resistance, high stiffness, high heat resistance plus excellent optical properties. Food packaging, pouches, peelable lidding film and film bottle labels are among the application areas set to benefit from Borpact BC914TF. With this development, polypropylene can be used in a number of new sectors, such as in labelling and modified atmospheric packaging (MAP) trays for meat and fruit.
