“Art-to-part” service is the word from Distrupol
“Art to Part” is to be the main focus of Distrupol’s exhibit at PDM 06 in Telford, 26th – 28th September. The term is used by Distrupol to describe the comprehensive support provided to customers with conceptual design, materials selection, tooling advice, testing, sampling and production optimisation. The exhibit should be of special interest to designers, moulders and OEM’s, who can find Distrupol, a founding partner of Plastics Design and Moulding (PDM), at stand No. G31 in Hall 2.

PPG Reports its 13th Consecutive Quarterly Sales Record
(August 18, 2006 Shanghai)Recently, PPG Industries Inc., the world’s leading diversified manufacturer headquartered in Pittsburgh, reported record sales and earnings for the second quarter of fiscal year 2006. The company realized net income of USD280 million on sales revenue of USD2.8 billion for the quarter, a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 21% and 6% respectively. During the quarter, in addition to the strong sales earnings growth, PPG was able to achieve higher margins of 14.5% from 14.1% despite an environment in which the chlor-alkali cycle, home building and North American auto manufacturing are approaching declines and higher raw material costs.

Borealis CFO Clive Watson kehrt nach England zurück
Borealis gab heute bekannt, dass Clive Watson die Gruppe verlässt. Er wird die Position eines Group Finance Directors bei Spectris plc, einem führenden Anbieter von Präzisionsinstrumenten und Steuerungen mit Sitz in Surrey, England übernehmen. Clive Watson war fast fünf Jahre bei Borealis und in dieser Zeit für Finanzen und Recht, IT&S und eine Reihe von Umstrukturierungsprojekten verantwortlich. Er verlässt das Unternehmen mit 30. September 2006.
