Frankfurt, Deutschland – November 2007 – Nach Auskunft der auf Unfallmanagement spezialisierten Nobilas Claims & Fleet Solutions hat die Alte Leipziger mit dem Nobilas-Service signifikante Kosteneinsparungen (durchschnittlich 11 %) und weitere Vorteile erzielt. Eine Bewertung der Ergebnisse des deutschen Versicherers durch das Institut für Versicherungswirtschaft der Universität St. Gallen (Schweiz) nennt Gesamteinsparungen bei den jährlichen Kfz-Reparaturkosten in Höhe von 20 % oder EUR 1 Million. Gleichzeitig bietet der Unfallmanagementservice dem Versicherungsunternehmen die Möglichkeit, sich vom Wettbewerb abzuheben: Ein Drittel aller Vertragsnehmer der Alten Leipziger entscheiden sich bereits für die Mehrwertleistungen von Nobilas, wie Abschleppen, Bereitstellen eines Ersatzfahrzeugs und Zustellen des reparierten Wagens.

European Court of Justice ruling may open up further cross-border mail opportunities for Spring Global Mail
Amsterdam, 22 November 2007 – On 15 November 2007, the European Court of Justice issued a ruling about the interpretation of the EU regulation that allows Posts to keep international mail under their monopoly. If this ruling is taken over by the Spanish Supreme Court, this will open up further opportunities for Spring Global Mail and other postal service providers in cross border mail services throughout Europe.

FIRST VLCC VESSEL TO USE MOORING ROPES MADE WITH ULTRA-STRONG DYNEEMA® FIBER
URMOND (NL), 22 November 2007 - DSM Dyneema, maker of ultra-strong, lightweight Dyneema® polyethylene fiber, today announced that COSCO Dalian, a subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, has selected mooring lines made with Dyneema® fiber for its newest Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), the Cospearl Lake. Following a successful eight-month sea trial on its Cosmerry Lake VLCC, COSCO Dalian found that, in comparison with steel wire mooring lines, ropes made with Dyneema® enabled a reduction in mooring time and significantly improved crew safety. DSM Dyneema worked closely with COSCO Dalian during the sea trial to document performance of the new ropes.
