Borealis etabliert Beratungsgremium für Wissenschaft und Technologie
Borealis, ein führender Anbieter innovativer, hochwertiger Kunststoffe, gibt die Gründung eines Beratungsgremium für Wissenschaft und Technologie (Science and Technology Advisory Board) bekannt, das dem „Step Change in Innovation“ Programm zusätzlichen Schwung verleihen soll. Die Aktivitäten des neuen Gremiums werden von Walter Kadl, einem früheren Vorstandsmitglied von Borealis, koordiniert. Das Gremium, dem renommierte Experten aus der Kunststoffbranche, wie Professor Paolo Galli, Professor Manfred Raetzsch, und Professor Hans-Gerhard Fritz, angehören, wird sich auf katalysator-, prozess- und anwendungsorientierte Forschung und Entwicklung konzentrieren.

Sidel at Interpack 2008:Innovations safeguard health and the environment

PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) has recently acquired the assets and intellectual property of NanoProducts Corporation, Longmont, Colo., a producer of nanoproduct materials and a developer of nanoproduct technology. Terms were not disclosed.

Rohm and Haas Appoints New China President
Shanghai, China, February 18, 2008 –Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE:ROH) announces today that Du Hua is appointed as Rohm and Haas China President, based in the company’s China Research Development Center (CRDC) in Shanghai.
