US-GERICHT URTEILT ZUGUNSTEN VON DSM IN VERFAHREN WEGEN PATENT- UND MARKENVERLETZUNG GEGEN ARMOR USA INC.
URMOND (NL), 22. Mai 2008 - Das Amtsgericht für den Bezirk Texas Nord hat am 22. April 2008 im Verfahren wegen Patent- und Markenverletzung sowie entsprechender Schadensersatzansprüche gegen Armor USA ein Urteil gefällt. Gegenstand des Rechtsstreits war die hochfeste Polyethylenfaser Dyneema® von DSM. Das Urteil verbietet Armor USA den Verkauf von PE-faserhaltigen Produkten im US-Markt, die das DSM-Patent verletzen.

Borealis promotes infrastructure renewal at Italy's 'H2O 2008' water supply show
Italy’s water supply and treatment infrastructure needs a significant upgrade. The country's ageing pipe system is creating annual losses for its operators of at least EUR 3.9 billion, and possibly as much as EUR 5.2 billion, recent research indicates*. Renewing the system will entail a major investment, but as much as EUR 85 billion could be saved in the costs of materials, installation, maintenance and environmental impact, if plastic pipes are used instead of traditional materials to put an end to this wastage.

Die Ausgewogenheit von Fließverhalten und mechanischen Eigenschaften des Werkstoffes Arnite® TV4 261 trug dazu bei, die Fertigung dieser komplexen Teile in einem automatisierten Prozess zu ermöglichen. Die Steckverbindereinheit ist ein Standardbauteil in vielen nach 2006 hergestellten Renault-Modellen.

PPG launches paint-sale donation program to support China earthquake recovery
BEIJING, May 19, 2008 – Two days after announcing its donation of RMB 500,000 to the Red Cross Society of China for earthquake recovery efforts, PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) has announced that for each can of Master’s Mark Paint, IVY paint and Seigneurie paint sold in May and June in China, the company will donate RMB 1 Yuan to aid in recovery efforts in the disaster area. All donations from this sales program will go to the Red Cross Society of China.
