Even before the credit crunch, moulders and OEMs were actively looking for effective ways to reduce production costs and, equally importantly, to make a contribution to reduced energy usage and CO2 emissions. If anything, the global financial crisis has encouraged everyone to redouble their efforts to finding solutions to these issues and implement them with greater urgency.

Die schnelle und zuverlässige Bereitstellung von Informationen über die aktuelle Last und die Windgeschwindigkeit sind für Führer von Kranen oder anderen Baumaschinen immens wichtig, um auf potenziell gefährliche Situationen sofort reagieren zu können. Oftmals ist aber die Nachrüstung von entsprechender Technik problematisch. Entweder sie ist zu aufwendig oder schlichtweg unmöglich, z. B. bei Kranhaken.

Bio Base Europe develops the region into the bio-based economy gateway in Europe
Gent, 7 May 2009 – Minister Patricia Ceysens, Minister of Economy, Enterprise, Science, Innovation and Foreign Trade of Flanders, Belgium, and Acting Managing Director Cees Kortleve of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs gave the official starting shot for Bio Base Europe on Monday 27 April. This Flemish-Dutch collaborative project will transform the Gent-Terneuzen Canal Zone into the most important centre for the bio-based economy in Europe. By applying technological innovation and training, this initiative will speed up the transition to a sustainable, bio-based economy.
