Belden hat sein Lumberg Automation™-Produktprogramm um zwei neue Buskoppler- und sechs neue I/O-Module der LioN-Link-Familie erweitert. Damit sind jetzt erstmals Anwendungen wie die Steuerung elektrischer Antriebe via Profibus, die Vernetzung intelligenter Sensoren und Aktuatoren, die einfache Um- oder Nachrüstung von Maschinen, Safety-Applikationen sowie eine dezentrale Spannungsversorgung möglich.

LOWER COST AND INCREASED PERFORMANCE FOR ODU'S NEW MAC LC (SMT VERSION), POWERED BY DSM'S STANYL FORTII
ODU Steckverbindungssysteme GmbH, a leading connector manufacturing company in Mühldorf, Germany, has selected high performance Stanyl® ForTii™ from DSM Engineering Plastics for its latest ODU MAC LC (Modular Attachable Connector rectangular – Low Cycle Version), which was developed specifically for PCB – termination without frame. The ODU MAC LC (Low Cycle) series is part of a highly economical modular system, capable of delivering up to 5,000 mating cycles. The application requires a high temperature plastic material suitable for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) soldering and with excellent electrical properties.

Milliken stellt auf der VDI-Tagung Plastics in Automotive Engineering 2010 das neue Verstärkungsmittel für Polyolefine Hyperform® HPR-803 vor

Januar 2010 – Milliken wird sein innovatives Hochleistungsverstärkungsmittel Hyperform® HPR-803 sowie seine Hyperform® HPN Nukleierungsmittel für Polyolefine auf der VDI-Tagung „Plastics in Automotive Engineering“ 2010 in Mannheim vorstellen. Das Verstärkungsmittel Hyperform® HPR-803 eignet sich insbesondere für Kunden aus der Automobilindustrie, die eine Gewichtsreduzierung der aus Polypropylen gefertigten Fahrzeugteile anstreben. Hyperform® HPN Nukleierungsmittel für Polyolefine führen zu Vorteilen in den Bereichen Produktivität, Qualität, Dimensionsstabilität, CLTE-Wert –Optimierung sowie der Verbesserung mechanischer Eigenschaften.

SYMALITE® VON QUADRANT DER SPEZIFIZIERTER WERKSTOFF FÜR UNTERBODENVERKLEIDUNG UND RADLAUFSCHALEN DES BMW Z4
Für den BMW Z4 wurden nun die Unterbodenverkleidungen des Zulieferers Takeo Automotive Systems spezifiziert, die aus SymaLITE® von Quadrant Plastics Composites hergestellt werden. Die superleichte Verkleidung deckt den Motor und grosse Teile des Fahrzeugunterbodens von unten ab, verbessert die Aerodynamik des BMW und sorgt so für ein komfortables, geräuscharmes Fahren und höhere Kraftstoffeffizienz.

Nog meer betrouwbaarheid dankzij hardware upgrade van de Clavister Security Gateway 4300 Series
21 december, 2009 – IP-beveiliging en Unified Threat Management (UTM) specialist Clavister heeft de hardware van de Security Gateway (SG) 4300 Serie nog verder verbeterd. Deze high performance UTM beveiligingsoplossing kan nu uitgerust worden met een redundante energievoorziening en ventilatormodule. STANYL FORTII IN NOTEBOOK BATTERY CONNECTORS
T-CONN, one of the major local connector manufacturer in Taiwan, has selected Stanyl® ForTii™ as the halogen-free housing material for its wide range of battery connectors. Stanyl Fortii not only meets the stringent material requirements of SMT soldering technology, it also offers outstanding performance in dimensional stability, full compliance to JEDEC MSL level 2, high toughness and extreme pin retention forces. As a result, Stanyl ForTii leads to a significant reliability improvement versus LCPs (Liquid Crystal Polymers) and to better processing compared to PPAs. Following the approval in battery connectors, T-CONN has started to expand the usage of Stanyl ForTii also to their FPC product line.

Trespa gewinnt renommierten Europe Design Management Award
Der Fassadenplattenhersteller Trespa hat den DME (Design Management Europe) Award gewonnen. Dieser renommierte Preis zeichnet europäische Firmen und Organisationen aus, die Design strategisch in ihre Unternehmensführung integriert haben. Trespa ist Gewinner der Kategorie Großunternehmen und nahm den Preis während der niederländischen Designwochen in Eindhoven entgegen. Nach Meinung der Jury ist es Trespa gelungen, Architekten mittels innovativen Fassadenkonzepten zu inspirieren und damit die Architektur auf ein höheres Niveau zu bringen.
