Belden präsentiert auf der Hannover Messe (Halle 7, Stand A46/3) aus seinem Hirschmann™-Produktprogramm die drei neuen BAT-Controller WLC25, WLC50 und WLC100. Mit diesen Controllern, die für den Einsatz im Schaltschrank konzipiert sind, können 25, 50 oder100 WLAN Access Points zentral konfiguriert und gemanagt werden. Da die Controller zu allen Hirschmann™ Access Points der BAT-Familie kompatibel sind, müssen bereits installierte Geräte dieser Familie nicht ausgetauscht werden.

Analog zur Norm ISO/TS 16949 für Automobilzulieferer ist IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) ein neuer Standard für die Schienenfahrzeugindustrie, der den langen Lebenszyklus von 20 bis 30 Jahren der Schienenfahrzeuge berücksichtigt.
