Reverdia-joint venture launched
Reverdia, the joint venture between Royal DSM and Roquette Frères, has been formally approved by the relevant regulatory authorities. Reverdia aims to build on its emerging leadership position for bio-based succinic acid through its proprietary production technology and by ensuring reliable supply to meet the evolving market demands. Reverdia combines DSM’s expertise in Materials Sciences, and biotechnology together with Roquette’s know-how in plant-based raw material processing.

24 Fast Ethernet-Ports plus PoE-Funktion
Belden präsentiert mit dem OCTOPUS 24M-8PoE einen neuen managed IP67-Switch aus seinem Hirschmann™-Produktprogramm. Dieser Switch, der insbesondere für den Einsatz in Zügen und Bussen konzipiert ist, hat 24 Fast Ethernet-Ports (10/100 BASE-TX), von denen acht PoE unterstützen. So können Endgeräte wie IP-Kameras oder Displays über die Datenleitung mit Strom versorgt werden. Zugleich ermöglicht die hohe Portzahl platzsparende Installationen mit vergleichsweise wenigen Switches. Da der OCTOPUS 24M-8PoE beliebig kaskadiert werden kann, lassen sich dezentral strukturierte Netzwerke mit kurzen Übertragungsstrecken zu den jeweiligen Endgeräten realisieren. Redundanzverfahren wie HIPER Ring, MRP und RSTP sorgen mit schnellen Rekonfigurationszeiten für eine hohe Netzverfügbarkeit. Zu den weiteren Merkmalen gehören ein wasserdichtes Gehäuse, ein erweiterter Temperaturbereich von -40° C bis +70° C sowie Ethernet-Ports mit vibrationssicherer M12-Anschlusstechnik. Darüber hinaus hat der Switch eine e1-Zulassung des Kraftfahrt-Bundesamtes und erfüllt zudem die EMV- und Brandschutzanforderungen für den Einsatz in Schienenfahrzeugen der Normen EN 50155 beziehungsweise, DIN 5510-2 und NF F 16 101/ 102.
