GE's Power Conversion Business Signs $80 Million in Additional Contracts for Electric Power and Propulsion Systems of LNG Carriers and FSRU
PARIS - April 17, 2013 - GE's Power Conversion business (NYSE: GE) announced today it has been awarded new contracts for orders of electric power and propulsion systems on two liquid natural gas (LNG) carriers and an LNG Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU). In total, GE has signed contracts to supply systems for 26 LNG carriers and five FSRUs. In the last six months alone, the company has signed contracts worth around $80 million.

Tests show Clariant adjuvant boosts speed of foliar penetration by up to 500%
Muttenz, April 17, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, is to present test results showing that its Synergen® OS adjuvant boosts the foliar penetration (after 24 hours) of a broad-leafed herbicide by 5 times compared to the commercial standard. The findings will be presented at the 10th International Symposium on Adjuvants for Agrochemicals (ISAA), to be held in Brazil on 22-26 April 2013.

Clariant Oil Services übernimmt Teile des Tiefseegeschäfts von Champion Technologies im Golf von Mexiko
Muttenz, 15. April 2013 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen der Spezialchemie, gab heute die Unterzeichnung eines Vertrages bekannt, mit dem Clariant Teile des Tiefseegeschäfts von Ecolab Inc. im Golf von Mexiko übernimmt. Für das US-Justizministerium war die Veräusserung der Anlagen durch Ecolab die Voraussetzung für die Genehmigung deren Übernahme von Champion Technologies. Es wurden keine finanziellen Angaben zu dieser Transaktion veröffentlicht.
