Schalksmühle - 2. Juli 2013 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, bietet mit seinem Lumberg Automation-Produktprogramm erstmals ein komplettes Steckverbinder-Portfolio für alle Ethernet-basierten Protokolle. Dieses Portfolio, das sowohl konfektionierbare M12- und RJ45-Steckverbinder als auch Einbauvarianten sowie ein- oder beidseitig umspritze Standard-Ausführungen umfasst, unterstützt neben PROFINET und Ethernet/IP auch EtherCat und Sercos. Die Steckverbinder sind je nach Typ mit 360-Grad-Schirmung, einem Temperaturbereich von -40 °C bis +90 °C, hoher Schock- und Vibrationsfestigkeit sowie Schutzart IP67, IP68 und IP69K erhältlich. Zudem werden verschiedene Daten- und Steuerungsleitungen als Meterware angeboten. Damit ermöglicht das Steckverbinder-Portfolio unabhängig von dem jeweiligen Ethernet-Protokoll flexible Lösungen für eine durchgängige Datenübertragung von der Feldebene über die Leitebene bis zur Managementebene.

Maran Gas Takes Delivery of Its First Electrical LNG Carrier Equipped with Electric Power and Propulsion System from GE Power Conversion
PARIS—July 1, 2013—The first electrical LNG carrier to be ordered by Maran Gas incorporating induction-based electric propulsion motor technology from GE’s Power Conversion business (NYSE: GE) is expected to enter commercial service in July. The Woodside Rogers, built by one of the major Korean shipbuilders, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), at its shipyard near Busan, successfully completed sea trials in late April and was handed over to Maran Gas on July 1. It is the first of seven LNG carriers incorporating the innovative GE power and propulsion technology that Maran Gas has ordered from DSME for delivery between now and 2015.
