ELIX Polymers, ein führender Hersteller von Spezialwerkstoffen auf ABS-Basis mit Hauptsitz in Tarragona (Spanien), nimmt zum ersten Mal als Schwestergesellschaft von Sinochem Plastics mit Sitz in Peking an der CHINAPLAS 2019 teil. Elix Polymers und Sinochem Plastics gehören beide zu Sinochem International, die im Chemie-, Metall- und Energiesektor tätig ist.

Castellana 77, ein nachhaltiges Gebäude mit Fassadenelementen von Guardian Glass
Mitten in Madrids Banken- und Hochhausviertel AZCA steht Castellana 77, ein Gebäude, für das – nach zwei Jahrzehnte dauerndem Leerstand – dank luis vidal +architects ein neues Zeitalter begonnen hat. Der aus dem Jahr 1977 stammende Turm ist jetzt ein 62 m hohes Bürogebäude, das der Skyline der Stadt seinen Stempel aufdrückt. Mit Beendigung der Renovierungsarbeiten ist es beispielgebend hinsichtlich der Energieeffizienz und des Umweltprofils und hat dafür das prestigeträchtige LEED-Nachhaltigkeitszertifikat in Platin erhalten. Der Einsatz von Hochleistungsglasprodukten von Guardian Glass in der Fassade hat zu diesem Erfolg beigetragen.

Schwertransport für Clariant unterwegs
Clariant erweitert an ihrem Standort im Chemiepark Gendorf ihre Anlage zur Produktion von Ethylenoxid. Hierzu sind Baumaßnahmen notwendig, die die Installation einer Kolonne erfordern. Diese wird in zwei Teilen per Schwerlast-LKW an den Standort transportiert. Der Transport startet seine letzte Etappe am 27. Mai in Passau und trifft am 28. Mai im Chemiepark Gendorf ein.

GE Additive Print Services selected by General Dynamics Land Systems for metal additive production manufacturing
GE Additive announced today that it has been awarded a contract by General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics. GE Additive Print Services will support General Dynamics with part qualification, production, post processing and inspection of additively manufactured components. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
