Clariant richtet das Rampenlicht während der formnext 2019 auf 3D-gedruckte, funktionsfähige Endanwendungen und neue Materialien für Mobilität und E&E-Trends
Während die intelligente additive Fertigung sich neben maßgeschneiderten Einzelprodukten und Prototypen zunehmend auch in der Produktion von Ersatzteilen und Kleinserien etabliert, kehrt Clariant in diesem Jahr auf die formnext mit neuen Lösungen zurück, um dieses Wachstum voranzutreiben. Im Mittelpunkt auf dem Messestand des Unternehmens stehen ein neues, halogenfreies, flammgeschütztes Material für den 3D-Druck sowie ins Auge springende und herausragende Endanwendungen aus diversen Einsatzbereichen.

Additive Fertigung: Oerlikon, Linde und TU München forschen gemeinsam an hochfesten Leichtmetall-Legierungen auf Aluminiumbasis
Oerlikon, der global führende Technologie-Konzern mit umfangreicher Expertise im Werkstoff-Bereich, ist mit Linde, dem weltweit größten Industriegasehersteller, sowie der Technischen Universität München (TUM), einer der führenden deutschen Universitäten im Ingenieurwesen, eine Forschungsallianz für additive Fertigung (AM) eingegangen. Die Partner wollen neue hochfeste Leichtmetall-Legierungen auf Aluminiumbasis entwickeln, um die hohe Nachfrage der Luft- und Raumfahrt- sowie Automobilindustrie nach Sicherheit und Gewichtsreduzierung zu erfüllen. Das Forschungsprojekt mit einem Volumen von 1,7 Millionen Euro wird zu 50 % vom bayerischen Wirtschaftsministerium finanziert.

Clariant Catalysts expands in APAC with new Engineering Services office in Indonesia
First Singapore and Tokyo, now Jakarta. Clariant’s Catalysts business unit opens its third location for Engineering Services in Asia-Pacific, bringing the global total to 16 offices. The expansion is aimed at enhancing regional support, particularly in the southern APAC countries, with a focus on catalysts for ethylene and styrene and syngas applications, as well as distillate upgrading, hydrogenation, and oxidation.

Mallinckrodt and Terumo BCT Announce UVADEX® (Methoxsalen) Approved in Australia for use with the THERAKOS® CELLEX® Photopheresis System for the Treatment of Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease (cGvHD) and Skin Manifestations of Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma (CTCL) in Adults
Mallinckrodt plc (NYSE: MNK), a global biopharmaceutical company, and Terumo BCT, a global leader in blood component, therapeutic apheresis and cellular technologies, today announced that UVADEX® (methoxsalen) has received regulatory approval in Australia by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for extracorporeal administration with the THERAKOS® CELLEX® Photopheresis System. The treatment is indicated for steroid-refractory and steroid-intolerant chronic graft versus host disease (cGvHD) in adults following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation. The TGA also approved UVADEX in conjunction with the THERAKOS CELLEX Photopheresis System for the palliative treatment of skin manifestations of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) that is unresponsive to other forms of treatment.
