SONGWON expands functional monomer range
As announced at the European Coatings Show (ECS) this year, SONGWON is further developing and expanding its range of bisphenol (BP) monomers and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) phenol resins. High-purity BP-Z crystalline bisphenol and tetramethyl (modified) bisphenol (TMBP) are now being produced on an industrial scale, while the dicyclopentadiene epoxy resin modifier range ERM-6100, introduced at the ECS, is already well established in the market and being used, for example, in specialty resins in Asia.

Clariant veräussert ihr Masterbatches-Geschäft für rund 1,6 Milliarden USD
Clariant, ein fokussiertes und innovatives Spezialchemieunternehmen, vereinbart ihr gesamtes Geschäft mit Masterbatches an PolyOne zu veräussern. Im Rahmen der Transaktion wird das Masterbatches-Geschäft nach dem Bruttobewertungsverfahren («Debt/Cash free») mit 1.560 Millionen USD bewertet. Dies entspricht in etwa dem 12,2-fachen EBITDA, welches für die vergangenen zwölf Monate (bis September 2019) berichtet wurde. Dieser Betrag ist zum Abschluss der Transaktion zu zahlen, der voraussichtlich im 3. Quartal 2020 stattfindet.
