Terumo BCT und Marker Therapeutics erhalten erste FDA Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) zur Behandlung von akutem Atemwegsversagen bei COVID‑19-Patienten
Terumo BCT, Inc. und Marker Therapeutics AG haben heute bekanntgegeben, dass die US-amerikanische Lebens- und Arzneimittelbehörde (FDA) den Einsatz des Spectra Optia® Apheresesystems in Kombination mit der Adsorptionskartusche D2000 von Marker Therapeutics in Notfallsituationen bewilligt hat. Die Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) gilt für die intensivmedizinische Behandlung von Patienten ab dem Alter von 18 Jahren mit nachgewiesener Corona-Viruserkrankung 2019 (COVID-19), bei denen ein attestiertes oder akutes Atemwegsversagen vorliegt, um den proinflammatorischen Zytokinspiegel zu reduzieren.
