Taking AIM on single-use plastics: metal 3D printed tooling solution designed to change the world… one paper cup at a time
As pulp and paper manufacturers bid to replace single-use plastic packaging to help clean up our planet, the team at AIM Sweden AB (AIM), the commercial spin-off from the Mid Sweden University, has developed new methods for modelling, as well as 3D printing an entirely new tooling concept that is currently being introduced in the manufacture of molded paper food and drink containers.

Environmentally friendly and insect repellent – these are the two key features of a high-tech new uniform developed in a partnership between pioneering textile innovators Affix Labs, with its Repeltec technology, Waste2Wear and Logonet. The uniform has been designed to commemorate 60 years of ground-breaking research by the legendary primatologist Jane Goodall and the hard work carried out by the scientists and rangers at the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) in Gombe, Tanzania.

Total, Intraplás and Yoplait successfully demonstrated the feasibility of incorporating recycled polystyrene from chemical recycling into yogurt pots
Total, Intraplás and Yoplait announced today that they have successfully run a pilot test aiming at using certified chemically recycled polystyrene in yogurt pots. This is the first step of a collaborative initiative aiming at testing the use of chemically recycled polystyrene in yogurt pots, supporting the development of sustainable PS recycling in France.
