SABIC, ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen der chemischen Industrie, hat heute vier neue LNP™ ELCRES™ FST Copolymere eingeführt, die der Europanorm EN 45545 R6-HL2 für Bahnsitze entsprechen. Designer können von diesen neuen Materiallösungen profitieren, da sie nicht nur die neuen harmonisierten Bahnvorschriften erfüllen, sondern auch erweiterte Möglichkeiten für elegantere Sitzkonstruktionen erschließen. Im Vergleich mit Duroplasten und Aluminium bieten die thermoplastischen LNP ELCRES Kunststoffe leichtere Sitzkonstruktionen und eine effizientere Fertigung ohne Nachbearbeitung. Für ein nahtlos ästhetisches Aussehen kompletter Sitzeinheiten oder separate, lackierfreie Sitzlehnenschalen bietet SABIC die Extrusions- und Spritzgießtypen LNP ELCRES FST2732E bzw. LNP ELCRES FST2432 auch einschließlich präziser Farbabmusterung an. Kunden, die besonders nachhaltige Lösungen wünschen, stehen beide Materialien jeweils auch in einer biobasierten Ausführung zur Verfügung.
