Clariant Catalysts helps customers cut over 35 million tons of CO2e in 2022. Clariant’s energy-efficient catalyst technologies made a significant contribution to climate protection in 2022. They enabled emission reductions of more than 35 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) in customers’ chemical processes across a wide range of industrial sectors. The reductions amount to more than eight times the total carbon footprint of the entire Clariant corporation in 2022.

Image: Microfol CompoundingINEOS Styrolution, the global leader in styrenics, has today announced that a range of styrenics based polymers are an effective and sustainable alternative for ceramics, compared to traditional resin-based applications. The styrenics based approach allows for recycling and there is no loss of the distinctive appearance of ceramics. In addition, energy consumption during production is significantly lower using a styrenics based solution than firing ceramics.

Solvay and GKN Aerospace Renew their Collaboration Agreement

Under the agreement, both businesses are developing a joint thermoplastic composites (TPC) roadmap to explore new materials and manufacturing processes for aerospace structures, while jointly targeting future strategic high-rate programs. In addition Solvay will remain a GKN Aerospace preferred supplier for TPC materials.

Archroma announces CEO transition

ArchromaArchroma, a global leader in sustainable specialty chemicals and solutions for the textiles, packaging & paper, paints and coatings industries, announced its transition plan for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Heike van de Kerkhof, CEO of Archroma since January 2020, will step down effective April 30, 2023, to focus on other career opportunities. Mark Garrett, a seasoned industry executive, will assume the role of interim CEO. Archroma’s Board of Directors has initiated a comprehensive search process for installing a permanent CEO and has retained a leading executive search firm to evaluate both internal and external candidates.
