Kisuma Enables Rubber Manufacturers to Enhance Durability and Sustainability with DHT™-4 Additives
Kisuma Chemicals, a global leader in magnesium-based additives, has presented new test data showing that its hydrotalcite-like DHT™-4 additive can significantly enhance the heat, fluid and ageing resistance of chloroprene (CR) and epichlorohydrin (ECO) rubbers. In addition to acting as an efficient acid scavenger and improving both the mechanical and the chemical resistance of rubber compounds, this offers manufacturers a compelling alternative to partially replace fluorine rubbers (FKM) in light of upcoming regulations expected to ban the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Clariant Oil Services and Swire Energy Services open new supply base in Norway supporting European energy production
Clariant Oil Services, a leading producer and supplier of specialty oilfield production chemicals and services to the oil and gas industry, has expanded its commitment to Norwegian Oil and Gas customers with a new bulk storage and transfer base located in Dusavik, Norway together with its long-standing strategic partner Swire Energy Services. The new site consists of multiple bulk storage tanks with transfer capability to supply either directly to vessels or tote tanks. The system is fully automated to ensure chemicals are transferred accurately and efficiently, and full operations are expected in September 2025.

SABIC to highlight at PCIM Asia 2025 specialty dielectric films that address challenges of high-voltage, high-heat electrical applications
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, will showcase at PCIM Asia 2025, in Hall N5, Booth F03, ultra-thin ELCRES™ HTV150 dielectric film that is well suited for capacitors used in demanding electrical applications, including AC-DC inverters in electric vehicles (EVs). Advanced capacitors made with the SABIC film can operate at high temperatures up to 150°C with minimal derating of applied voltage (V). This capability will be discussed in two technical presentations during the event.
